Christian Rosito S
Trained as an architect at Francisco Marroquín University, with a master’s degree in Business Administration. He studied Design and Drawing under the tutelage of master Daniel Schaeffer. Introduced to photography as a child by his father, Rolando Rosito, a professional photographer. He has been a member of the cultural organization Club Fotográfico de Guatemala since 2008 and served as its president in 2021. In 2017, he began attending the Municipal School of Sculpture, where he explored various sculpture techniques, and he graduated from the Contemporary Art Diploma program in 2023 at the Municipal School of Visual Arts. He won first place in 2024 at the Galería Abierta, organized by the Centro Cultural Municipal AAI. In 2011, he won third place at the Arte en Mayo festival for photography and received an Honorable Mention at Arte en Mayo in 2024 from the Rozas Botrán Foundation. In December 2011, he won the highest award of the Club Fotográfico de Guatemala, the Copa Club Fotográfico in traditional photography, silver gelatin; as well as the Ricardo Mata Award in May 2011. In 2014, he won the Copa Club Fotográfico in black-and-white digital photography, and in 2018 and 2023, in color photography, having won in all competition formats. He also received an honorable mention for printmaking at the UNIS Rozas-Botrán 2023 awards for the printmaking piece Legado que deja huella (A Legacy That Leaves a Mark).
