I paint randomly and in series, considering a study of colors that reflects the themes I want to represent. The tones are inherent to the theme; colors are the essence and strength of the work that allow me to convey the depth of my inner self. My main sources of inspiration are rural experience, Guatemalan history, and identity—themes that remind me of my childhood and enable me to express a unique, conscious, and precise language. My main motivation is to immerse myself in a unique world, leaving reality behind through textures and the thickness of colors. My inspiration arose through a drawing contest where I won one of the top spots at the school level. With the idea of discovering and experimenting with new techniques, I found myself as an artist in the abstract movement, aiming to enrich technique and content. Each piece makes me feel unique and reflective through my stories and experiences, granting me spiritual enrichment. My main objective is to make stories known from every corner to new generations. By leaving the work somewhat ambiguous, I allow the viewer to enjoy, interpret, and become a co-author, creating their own concept.
