In 2008, together with my colleagues from the group La Torana, I won first place at the 16th Paiz Art Biennial. In 2003 and 2004, I won second and third place, respectively, in the painting competition organized by Helvetas Guatemala. In 2005, I received second place in the National Concrete Art Competition and third place in the 4th Young Painter Contest of the French Alliance of Guatemala. In 2011, I won first place in the 3rd and final National Printmaking Salon. In 2016, I was awarded the first honorable mention at the 17th Arte en Mayo Festival by the Rozas-Botrán Foundation. I won first place in the mural design contest with the work “CAUCE,” a 200-square-meter mural for the Centro Vivo building, which was completed in 2019. In 2019, I won first place at the FESTIVAL ARTE EN MAYO by the ROZAS-BOTRÁN FOUNDATION. Over the past two years, I have specialized in concrete murals, combining my architectural studies with my passion for art and printmaking. I was the director of the Experimental Printmaking Workshop of Guatemala for 10 years, the only independent traditional printmaking workshop in Guatemala.
